- Abstract
<title/> Effect of powder particle size on the combustion temperature, microstructure and densification of products in Al-Ti-C system had been investigated. The results showed that Ti and C particle size had a great effect on the combustion temperature, microstructure and densification of products. With the increasing Ti powder particle size, the combustion temperature of the system increased and the densification of the products decreased, the size of TiC particle increased in the self-propagating high temperature synthesis reaction products. With the increasing C powder particle size, the combustion temperature of the system decreased and the densification of the products increased, the size of TiC particle decreased.
