- Abstract
This document is a response to a letter from Jagannath and Mayilvaganan regarding a study on pediatric thyroid carcinoma. The authors agree with the implications for clinical practice and support an individualized approach to treatment decisions. They state that there was no significant difference in nodule size between multifocal and unifocal disease, and laterality does not appear to affect multifocality. Additionally, there was no significant difference in various factors, such as age groups, histopathology, and oncologic outcome. The study was supported by the National Institutes of Health/National Cancer Institute. The authors have no disclosures.
