- Title
Diagnostic criteria for MOGAD.
- Authors
Voase, Sophie; Robertson, Neil P.
- Abstract
This article discusses the diagnostic criteria for myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein antibody-associated disease (MOGAD), a rare inflammatory demyelinating disorder of the central nervous system. The first paper outlines the diagnostic criteria proposed by an international expert panel, while the second and third papers validate these criteria in different patient cohorts. The criteria involve identifying a core clinical demyelinating event, a positive MOG-IgG test, and excluding other diagnoses. The studies found that the criteria are highly sensitive and specific, and they recommend using them for future clinical trials and collaborations.
