- Abstract
This article presents information on a technique to reconstruct the middle vault after humpectomy. The method discussed avoids the need to harvest graft material and to make spreader grafts that will preserve internal nasal valve function and the appearance of the middle one-third of the nose. The standard method for reconstruction of the middle vault, of course, involves the use of spreader grafts. They have been an absolutely essential technique for reconstruction of the middle vault. The use of autogenous material or other material for spreader grafts has been thoroughly documented.
