- Abstract
This article aims to characterize the components of the teaching communicative competence for the teaching of Introductory Accounting to Deaf students in the course of Accounting Sciences, in the south and southeast regions of Brazil. This is a qualitative research, exploratory in nature, with an interpretative paradigm supported by visual data. The subjects of this study were five teachers (listeners) who taught the discipline of Introductory Accounting and seven deaf students of the Accounting Sciences course in the south (03 IES) and southeast (02 IES) regions of Brazil. The analysis of the textual material demonstrated that the presence of the Libras interpreter is essential to mediate the communication between the teacher and the deaf student, translating the Portuguese language to Libras and vice versa. Inclusive education is a process under construction which requires the involvement of the entire educational community for its effectiveness.
