- Abstract
To explore the food safety of deer hide glue,a comprehensive toxicological safety evaluation test was carried out according to the relevant national requirements for health food. Acute toxicity test,subchronic toxicity test,micronucleus test of bone marrow cells,sperm deformity test and Ames test of deerskin glue were carried out according to relevant methods. When the dosage of deer hide glue sample was 15.00 g/kg,no animal died,indicating that the oral acute toxicity lethal dose 50 % (LD50)of deer hide glue sample was more than 10.00 g/kg and deer hide glue sample belonged to non-toxic substance. In subchronic toxicity test,there were no significant differences in blood routine,blood biochemical index,organ coefficient and pathological histology between each dose group and control group,indicating that deer hide glue sample had no significant difference. The results of micronucleus test of bone marrow polychromatic erythrocyte in mice,sperm deformity test in mice and Ames test were negative,and no genetic toxicity of deer hide glue was observed. Deer hide glue has no acute toxicity,subchronic toxicity,genetic toxicity and teratogenicity. Deer hide glue could be exploited as a new resource food.
