- Abstract
The article reports that pre-eclampsia is not just a single disease entity but with two different conditions with different onset time, pathophysiology and maternal and fetal effects. It mentions that the recurrence risk of early-onset pre-eclampsia in the next pregnancy is higher then the late-onset. It notes that women with previous pre-eclampsia requires careful monitoring during the entire pregnancy.
