- Abstract
The article presents a case study of an 8-year-old boy with itching and urticaria and who passed through sublingual immunotherapy. It states that sublingual latex immunotherapy with natural rubber latex (NRL) is effective in managing latex-allergic patients. It notes that the study reveals how to achieve latex desensitization without adverse effects and how to keep acquired tolerance after treatment is stopped.
