- Abstract
The article focuses on the efficacy of icatibant in patients with hereditary angio-oedema (HAE) type I resistant to treatment with C1 inhibitor concentrate. It presents a clinical study of two young women with severe HAE type I attacks with developed resistance to C1 inhibitor (C1-INH). It says that the patients had been having severe abdominal and laryngeal oedema attacks. It tells that long-term tranexamic acid therapy was not working and both patients refused danazol due to intolerance.
