- Title
Neutralization-enhancing RF antibodies for HIV vaccines.
- Authors
Suslov, Konstantin V.; Hessell, Ann Jones
- Abstract
The author discusses the induction of HIV-specific neutralizing antibodies (NAbs) with high affinity and avidity to the HIV-1 glycoprotein 120 (gp120) for HIV vaccines. He describes the results of research indicating the possible role of the rheumatoid factor (RF) autoantibody for passive immunotherapy based on NAbs. He also explores issues related to studies showing the high potential of neutralization-enhancing RF antibodies.
