MASTOCITOMA DISSEMINADO DIAGNÓSTICADO PELO EXAME CITOPATOLÓGICO: RELATO DE CASO.

- Abstract
O mastocitoma é a proliferação neoplásica de mastócitos representando em torno de 20 a 22% dos tumores cutâneos em cães. Embora possa haver diferenças entre localização, idade e raça, o comportamento biológico do mastocitoma é variável. O diagnóstico pode ser realizado por avaliação citológica, porém não evidência informações sólidas sobre a gradação, mais habitualmente realizada ao exame histopatológico, padrão ouro na classificação diagnóstica. Neste caso, em particular, uma cadela, de 10 anos, sem raça definida, atendida sob a queixa de ao menos 12 nódulos cutâneos, múltiplos e coalescentes, alopécicos, hiperêmico, não pigmentados, macios a firmes e aderidos à musculatura, difusos, localizados na região lateral direita do tórax e abdômen, de dimensões variáveis (A). A tutora não soube informar o tempo de evolução, mas relatou que o paciente havia sido submetido, um ano antes, a exéreses de alguns nódulos, porém sem avaliação histopatológica dos referidos nódulos. O exame citopatológico utilizando-se da citologia aspirativa por agulha fina (CAAF) das preparações acimas referidas, tendo base o Rosenfeld-modificado evidenciou mastócitos com moderados grânulos arroxeados, anisocitose e anisocariose, além de figuras mitóticas atípicas, típicas e raras células binucleadas (B). A CAAF é uma técnica pouco invasiva, de diagnóstico rápido e de baixo custo e que contribui com informações importantes para o planejamento e execução do procedimento cirúrgico. O sistema de gradação ao exame citológico é extremamente complexo e habitualmente impraticável pelo tipo de coloração utilizado, podendo subestimar o diagnóstico. Dessa forma a gradação histopatológica é mais específica possibilitando planejar o tratamento e auxiliar o estadiamento do animal.
