- Authors
Davies, Ian; Vellema, Piet; Roger, Paul
- Abstract
The article explores the clinical signs of Schmallenberg virus (SBV), its spread, and possible treatment and prevention. It indicates that SBV was identified in adult cattle with signs of mild to moderate fever, reduced milk yield, appetite loss and deterioration of body condition and diarrhea in Germany and the Netehrlands in the autumn of 2011. It indicates that SBV was found to be related to fatal malformation in cattle, sheep and goats.
