- Abstract
The article describes a case of cyamids Isocyamus deiphinii infestation on a harbor porpoise from German waters. Infestation with cyamids or commonly known as whale lice has rarely been observed in harbor porpoises. Here the female porpoise was found stranded on the coast of the island of Helgoland, Germany. The postmortem examination was performed on the animal, in which the macroscopic parasitic infestations were assessed semiquantitatively and were confirmed by histology.
