- Abstract
The article discusses a study to identify variables to facilitatethe clinical diagnosis of vestibular paroxysmia (VP) and mentions ephaptic depolarisation of the vestibular nerve induced by microtrauma and demyelination. Topics discussed include the analysis of audiovestibular function, diagnosis of VP and its treatment with carbamazepine or oxcarbazepine, and microvascular compression on magnetic resonance imaging.
