- Authors
SHAH, DHEERAJ
- Abstract
The article discusses the efficacy of short course of oral antibiotics in the treatment of acute streptococcal pharyngitis in children. It references a study by S. Altamimi et al, published online on January 21, 2009. The antibiotics evaluated included macrolides, cephalosporins and jasomycin. The study authors concluded that the efficacy of three to six days of treatment with oral antibiotics was similar with the 10-day treatment using oral penicillin.
