- Abstract
The article discusses the results of a study on sequenced treatment for depression and the rates of improvement in patients who had failed to respond to a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI). Results of the trial showed that only 50% responded to the initial trial of SSRI while final remission was only 70% after 4 potential treatment steps. The results also highlights the need to employ the best evidence in the management of difficult-to-treat depression.
