- Authors
Watts, D. B.; Way, T. R.; Torbert, H. A.
- Abstract
The article presents a study on subsurface application of poultry litter. It mentions the materials and methodology of the study, conducted in the coastal plains and Piedmont Region of the U.S. and informs that the study also analyzes the plant nutrient losses that result due to surface water runoff from poultry litter in permanent pastures. The study reveals that the subsurface banding technique of poultry litter reduces phosphorus and nitrogen loss to the environment as compared to the traditional application practices.
