- Abstract
Objective: to identify the occurrence of neurological symptoms after SARS-COV2 infection in health professionals in the city of Campina Grande, Paraíba. Method: The present study was a cross-sectional, descriptive research with a quantitative approach. The survey was carried out during the months of August and September 2021, through an online questionnaire. The questionnaire had sociodemographic and clinical questions in addition to questions related to SARS-COV2 infection. Results: The neurological symptoms most frequently reported during the period of infection were anosmia, ageusia and headache, while in the postinfection period the main complaints were memory lapses, headache and muscle weakness. Conclusions: It can be seen that neurological symptoms were reported both during the infection phase and in the post-COVID phase, thus becoming capable of impairing the activities of daily living and the quality of life of the professionals who were affected.
