- Abstract
The article offers information on a research on the evaluation of gliomas in vivo with glutamine-based positron emission tomography imaging. It discusses ineffectiveness of fluorodeoxyglucose F-18 in evaluating gliomas because of high background uptake in the brain. It mentions the high uptake of F-(2S,4R)-fluoroglutamine in gliomas can be used to assess metabolic nutrient uptake in gliomas in vivo.
