- Abstract
Room-Temperature Magnetoelectric Response in Molecular-Ionic Ferroelectric-Based Magnetoelectric Composites As presented in article number 1900644, Hai-Xia Zhao, La-Sheng Long and co-workers achieved an exceptionally large room-temperature magnetoelectric response in a laminated magnetoelectric composite based on Metglas (an amorphous FeBSi alloy) and the molecular-ionic ferroelectric [N(CH SB 3 sb ) SB 4 sb ][GaBrCl SB 3 sb ], with magnetoelectric response of up to 8.74 V Oe SP -1 sp cm SP -1 sp at the resonance frequency (~45 kHz). The current work not only represents the largest room-temperature magnetoelectric response reported for molecular-ionic ferroelectric-based laminated magnetoelectric composites to date, but also lays a solid foundation for the potential applications of this system.
