- Abstract
The article offers information on the colorectal carcinoma which is the second most common type of cancer in Germany with more than 70,000 cases per year. The guidelines by the Association of Scientific Medical Societies in Germany provide evidence-based recommendations derived from a consensus of expert panels. Majority of colorectal carcinomas arise from adenomatous polyps. It also discusses the symptoms of patients in their several catagories.
