- Abstract
The article cites key findings from a study on the delayed detectability of anti-HPA-3a by the MAIPA assay in a patient with severe neonatal alloimmune thrombocytopenia (NAIT). NAIT is the most frequent cause of hemorrhagic mortality and morbidity in otherwise healthy infants. The authors also report on the successful transfusion of incompatible donor platelets.
