- Abstract
The article presents a study on the effect of depth of tumor invasion to prognosis postresection in T1 extrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (EHC) patients. Retrospective analysis is conducted in the study and multivariate analysis is used to clarify the factors influencing the patients' survival. It was found out that long-term outcome is better in patients with mucosal tumors than with fibromuscular layer-invasive tumors and depth of invasion affects the postresection prognosis in T1 EHC patients.
