- Title
Encephalitis temporally associated with live attenuated Japanese encephalitis vaccine: four case reports.
- Abstract
The article presents several case studies related to using Japanese encephalitis (JE) vaccination for preventing the disease. A 9-month old girl was admitted to hospital with rapidly progressive encephalopathy, and she had received live attenuated JE vaccine 11-days before the fever. A 4-year old boy was admitted to hospital with severe headache, and received vaccine 1 week before the illness. JE vaccine should be recommended out of a well-defined JE vaccine transmission season.
