- Title
Monitoring low cycle fatigue damage in turbine blade using vibration characteristics.
- Authors
Kumar, Sandeep
- Abstract
The article reports on the use of a finite-element model in supervising the evolution of low cycle fatigue damage in turbine blade. According to the article, it has been founded that the fatigue causes the blade into a downcast state in terms of its stiffness, which is then used as an indicator for monitoring the damage growth. In addition, it states that through putting a suitable boundary on the frequency, it is possible to discover impairments before experiencing failures.
