- Authors

- Abstract
The article points out that based on studies, having visceral adipose tissue (VAT) negatively affects the liver but having subcutaneous adipose tissue (SAT) does not affect the liver. It is observed that people with VAT or abdominal fat have a higher risk for developing metabolic syndrome than people who have SAT in their lower bodies.
