- Abstract
The article discusses the medical diagnostic errors which are the leading cause of medical malpractice claims, thereby clinicians often order imaging and/or laboratory studies and initiate specialist referrals to avoid missing diagnosis. Also discussed are the ten principles for more carefull diagnosis which include promoting enhanced caring and listening; rethinking symptoms and linking diagnosis to treatment.
