- Authors
Nimphius, Sophia
- Abstract
The author reflects on studies that investigate the differences in athletic performance and risk of injury in male and female athletes. Topics discussed include lack of control or consideration of physical capacity or skill, the underpinning reasons questioned by investigators for purported gender-related differences, and a multidisciplinary approach that studies need to consider when understanding the influence of gender on athletic performance.
