- Abstract
The article examines the symptoms of transverse lesions of the spinal cord. Several factors that contributed to motor and sensory paralysis below the level of the lesion included nervous, vascular and circulatory disturbances of varying degree and flaccidity, which was regarded as the key element that triggered spinal shock.
