- Abstract
Cities are undoubtedly the space par excellence for the development of human activities, although their formation is due to historical and even fortuitous factors, their development and growth and therefore their success is closely tied to the forces of agglomeration. This paper focuses on the micro foundations that drive the agglomeration process more specifically the famous Marshallian Trinity; this paper finds evidence of the importance of these forces as sources of industrial agglomeration.
