- Abstract
Introducción. La Agenda 2030 de Desarrollo Sostenible busca abordar desigualdades y discriminación por medio de los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible 10 y 16, mientras otros ocho objetivos también contribuyen a reducir disparidades sociales. Objetivo. El presente estudio tiene como propósito evaluar la distribución de la mortalidad laboral y su relación con el ingreso económico en Colombia. Materiales y métodos. Se realizó un estudio ecológico sobre mortalidad laboral, usando microdatos del Sistema Integrado de Información de la Protección Social (SISPRO) (2008-2021) y datos del Departamento Administrativo Nacional de Estadística (DANE). Se construyeron los indicadores de desigualdad señalados por el Banco Mundial y evaluados por la Organización Mundial de la Salud. Se usó el ingreso económico como un indicador de bienestar, aproximándolo al valor del índice de precios al consumidor. Se calcularon tasas de mortalidad por 100.000 trabajadores, ajustadas con proyecciones poblacionales y análisis de disparidades con Epidat, versión 4.2. Resultados. El municipio con menos necesidades básicas insatisfechas fue Sabaneta, Antioquia; la mortalidad fue de 11,96 por 100.000 y tuvo 0,346 veces menos mortalidad laboral que el municipio con más necesidades básicas insatisfechas: San Jacinto, Bolívar, cuya mortalidad fue de 4,14 por 100,000. A nivel departamental, la relación se invirtió, con mayor mortalidad (4,75 por 100.000) en el municipio con menos necesidades básicas insatisfechas (Bogotá) en comparación con el de más (Vaupés), con mortalidad de 19,5 por 100.000-. Las disparidades de mortalidad laboral fueron de 68,2 % a nivel municipal y de 23,4 % a nivel departamental. Conclusiones. Estos datos indican que Bogotá contribuye con 21 % de la fuerza laboral y 6,5 % del producto interno bruto per cápita. Un riesgo atribuible poblacional del 50 % sugiere que las muertes por accidentes laborales en Vaupés podrían disminuir un 50 % con condiciones similares a las de Bogotá.
