- Title
Author's Response: Identifying a Philosophy and Methods for Second-Order Science.
- Authors
Umpleby, Stuart A.
- Abstract
The article presents the author's response to commentaries on his article on the need for a new scientific method or a second-order science. He explains his position on the existence of several epistemologies and that constructivism is more versatile compared with the other epistemologies. He also discusses the four models used in science and supports the suggestion that second-order science will preserve the practical powers of current science.
