- Abstract
Hence, it was planned to study economic feasibility of green pea crop with different irrigation and fertigation levels under drip irrigation system for Rahuri region, Maharashtra, India. The total cost of cultivation is divided into three categories viz; Cost "A", Cost "B" and Cost "C". 2. Cost "B"= Cost A+ rental value of owned land (less land revenue) + interest on fixed capital + annual amortization cost (in the case of fruit crops) Economic viability of drip fertigation was evaluated by computing B/C ratio for each of drip fertigation treatment obtained by dividing gross returns by total seasonal cost. It indicates that fertilizer cost decreased significantly with decrease in fertilizer level, while water charges decreased slightly with decrease in irrigation levels.
