PERCEPÇÃO DE IDOSOS SOBRE UM PROGRAMA DE EXERCÍCIO FÍSICO ON-LINE NA PANDEMIA DE COVID-19.

- Abstract
INTRODUÇÃO: A pandemia de COVID-19 fez com que a maioria das atividades físicas para idosos fossem alteradas do formato presencial para on-line, devido a redução da propagação e contato com o novo coronavírus. OBJETIVO: Identificar a percepção dos idosos sobre um programa de exercícios físicos online durante a pandemia de COVID-19. METODOLOGIA: Participaram do estudo 127 idosos de um programa de exercício físico on-line, estes responderam um questionário via Formulários Google após dez meses de participação no programa, com questões (fechadas) sociodemográficas e sobre a percepção a prática de exercício físico on-line. Foi realizada análise descritiva de frequência absoluta/relativa e análise categórica, Comitê Ética n°39.373. RESULTADOS: A maioria dos participantes eram mulheres (94,5%, n = 120), raça/etnia branca (83%, n = 106), casados (40%, n = 52) ou viúvos (29,2%, n = 38), nível superior de escolaridade (69,3%, n = 88), são aposentados (80%, n = 102) e renda de 1 a 3 salários-mínimos (36%, n = 46). Quanto à permanência no programa físico, 50,4% (n = 64) realizaram as atividades de modo assíduo com frequência igual e superior a 60% e, 49,6% (n = 63) tiveram frequência inferior a 59%. Em relação à participação nas aulas e a percepção sobre as possíveis mudanças, os relatos abrangeram alterações nos aspectos físicos; sentir-se ativo e com saúde; qualidade de vida e; bem-estar físico e mental. CONCLUSÃO: Os idosos perceberam uma melhora do bem-estar físico, mental e social. O exercício físico on-line foi importante neste momento de distanciamento e isolamento social para os idosos, ressaltando que esta prática é fundamental para manter-se ativo e com interação social.
