Periorbital and Orbital Cellulitis: From Presentation to Outcome.

- Abstract
The article reports on a retrospective study which evaluates patients with preseptal or orbital cellulitis at the Ankara University Pediatric Infectious Disease Clinic in Turkey between January 1999 and January 2013. Findings show that all patients were treated successfully after the administration of sulbactam-ampicillin and only three of them underwent surgical procedure. It concludes the importance of early diagnosis and correct antibiotic prescription in the treatment of these infections.
