- Abstract
The Authors also discuss the use of GERD-Q questionnaire >= 8 to diagnose GERD. We would like to thank the Authors for their interest in our recent study about the role of preoperative high-resolution manometry (HRM) in the identification of patients at high risk of postoperative GERD symptoms 1 year after sleeve gastrectomy. As correctly reported by the Authors, we highlighted the importance of female gender, presence of preoperative GERD symptoms and distal contractile integral (DCI) in the pathophysiology of postoperative GERD.
