- Abstract
The article presents a study on Hepatitis E virus (HEV) infection as a cause of liver disease. Topics discussed include control of HEV infection with reduction in antiviral therapy with ribavirin and immunosuppressive therapies, consumption of corticosteroids for controlling hepatic graft versus host disease (GvHD), and results of retrospective analysis revealed transmission of HEV genotype by platelet transfusions from an asymptomatic donor.
