- Abstract
The article discusses the diagnosis of acute mitral valve insufficiency in an 83-year-old female using emergency bedside echocardiography. The patient had a history of hypertension and diabetes. She presented to the emergency department complaining of progressive dyspnea on exertion and orthopnea. Information on echocardiographic findings on the patient is discussed. The relevance of bedside echocardiography is explained.
