- Abstract
The article discusses the importance of self-care in the management of obesity and illness prevention. It states that there is a need to change the environment to lead people to prefer a healthier lifestyle by urban planning which facilitates people being more active or implementing legislation to reduce fat and sugar in manufactured food. Moreover, practice nurses can support patients to consider risk associated with their weight, weight loss, and maintain weight loss for longer term.
