- Abstract
An article is presented that reports on the euro monetary system (Eurosystem) in the European Monetary Union (EMU). The article describes the European Central Bank (ECB) and economic conditions in Europe in 2011 related to the strength of the euro, property rights, and financing deficits. The article also discusses external costs, fiat money, and central banks. Information is provided on the concept of the tragedy of the commons, as well as on the exploitation of public property, money producers, and restrictive monetary policy.
