- Title
RADIATION HAZARDS AND WHAT IS BEING DONE ABOUT THEM.
- Authors
Quimby, Edith H.
- Abstract
The article discusses the approach in dealing with radiation hazards in the U.S. The dangers of exposure to radiation are continually being presented vial all types of mass communication. However, the use of radiation in medicine is ignored in the discussion. The problem of radiation is when a person establishes a level above than what the body can resist. Physiologic damages associated with radiation could be classified into somatic and genetic damage. To avoid risk of damages, the author suggests the implementation of rules that should maintain radiation hazards at a very low level compared to radiation benefits.
