- Abstract
The article reports an outbreak of Salmonella litchfield from May 31 to July 19, 2007, presumed to have originated from a hotel restaurant in Atlantic City, New Jersey. An overview of the epidemiologic and environmental investigation which was undertaken during the outbreak is presented. A list of the food items that were consumed by the 30 case-patients and 39 controls is given. Also discussed are the probable causes of the Salmonellosis and the incidents that led to the outbreak.
