- Abstract
Pregnancy is a very delicate moment in a woman's life, but it can cause risks for the pregnant woman and the fetus when it is a high-risk pregnancy. Diabetes Mellitus and Arterial Hypertension are a public health problem and are one of the main factors of morbidity and mortality among pregnant women, characterized by increased blood pressure and glycemic levels, it can lead to several maternal and fetal complications, often requiring early hospitalization and care. advanced. In this way, nurses have stood out as competent professionals to provide quality assistance to these pathologies in question. The present work aims to present the main complications, gestational risks and nursing care for pregnant women previously suffering from hypertension and DM. As for the methodology, it is exclusively descriptive. Literature review research was carried out, which used internet sources, where inclusion and exclusion criteria were applied, reaching a total of 15 selected articles. From these articles, the research verified that the risk factors associated with DM and hypertension, its complications, correlate with highrisk pregnancy. Therefore, tracking and monitoring and prevention of DM and SAH for both the mother and the fetus are necessary.
