- Abstract
The temporal and spatial changes as well as the characteristics distribution of dioxins analogues from the surroundings of 4 typical garbage disposal incinerators were studied, and the content levels of dioxin analogues in the soil and ambient air in Chengdu and Meishan were analyzed. Samples were collected in four quarters throughout the year, including 64 soil samples and 32 ambient air samples. The results showed that the value of total dioxin content Σ(PCDDS+PCDFS) in soil was between 0.1 and 2.0 ng/kg. Basically, the total dioxin content Σ(PCDDS+PCDFS) in soil showed a downward trend with the further away from the pollution source in the dominant wind direction. In addition, the closer to the incinerator was, the higher the content of dioxin analogues in soil was, and some individual values were slightly higher than 4.0 ng/kg from the Grade Ⅱ agricultural land (screening value) in GB 15618-2008. At 1 000 meters away from the pollution source, the content of dioxin analogues was basically lower than 0.5 ng/kg, and tended to be stable. The total amount of dioxins Σ(PCDDS+PCDFS) from the ambient air around the incinerator in the downwind direction ranged from 0.011 to 0.27 pg/m³, which was higher than the background point in the upwind direction and lower than the Japanese standard with 0.6 pg/m³. Compared with the second quarter, the values of other quarters were slightly higher, which indicated that the waste gas emitted by the waste incineration industry had a certain impact on the environment. Due to the differences in incineration types, gas sedimentation, ash transportation, treatment, storage and management, the percentages of TEQ mass fraction in the total dioxins Σ(PCDDS+PCDFS) of 17 kinds of dioxins in the surrounding soil from different waste incineration plants were various, however, they were mainly 2,3,4,7,8-P5CDF or O8CDD. While according to the percentages of TEQ mass fraction in the total dioxins Σ(PCDDS+ PCDFS) of 17 kinds of dioxins in the surrounding ambient air from different waste incineration plants, 2,3,4,7,8-P5CDF was the major compound. Meanwhile, 64 soil and 32 ambient air samples were collected and analyzed respectively. It was found that the mass fraction of TEQ of O8CDD and 2,3,4,7,8-P5CDF in soil held the largest percentage of total dioxins Σ(PCDDS+ PCDFS), which were 34.0% and 18.0% respectively. The mass fraction of TEQ of 2,3,4,7,8-P5CDF in ambient air accounted for the largest percentage of total dioxins Σ(PCDDS+PCDFS), which was 32.9%. It showed that dioxins, discharged into the ambient air with waste gas by the enterprise, might be enriched in the soil partly. This study provided theoretical and technical supports for the control and treatment of dioxins in soil and ambient air, and played an important role in the construction of ecological civilization.
