- Abstract
Fruiting bodies of 17 Pleurotus giganteus strains were determined for eight quantitative characteristics, including single fruiting body weight, pileus quality, pileus diameter, pileus thickness, gill width, stipe length, stipe thickness, and ratio of pileus weight to single fruiting body weight, and then the data were subjected to statistical analysis and probability classification. The results showed that different strains had rich variations and the variation coefficients of the eight quantitative characteristics ranged from 7.81% to 26.19%. The K-S normal test showed that except pileus weight, all the other seven quantitative characteristics followed a normal distribution. Then a probability classification was obtained for the seven characteristics, which can be used as a quantitative evaluation standard for P. giganteus fruiting body.
