- Abstract
One week after the study by Bing-yi Yang and colleagues from the University of Fudan, in Shanghai, China, was published by I BJOG i online (Yang et al. I BJOG i 2020; 127:848-57), I received an email message (reflected in the title of this mini commentary) from a gynaecology oncology consultant colleague (unaware of the fact that I had been asked to write a commentary on the paper), asking if there was any move to use metformin for endometrial hyperplasia in routine clinical practice. A larger adequately powered randomised controlled trial (RCT) is required, and I will be reiterating this to my colleague who sent me the email message.
