- Abstract
The relationship between Marx and modernity are a well-explored topic in literature. However, they have the relevance of helping to focus attention towards philosophical discourses rather than the socio-economic analyzes made by this author. The following text is an attempt, from Kantian School of Marxim's reading, to delineate some comments with the intention of identifying in him a certain philosophical understanding of modernity - even if Marx does not properly deploy the term "modernity". Through a bibliographical review and to reach the intent of this article, three texts will be commented: The German Ideology (1846); The Manifesto of the Communist Party (1848) and Critical Contributions to Political Economy (1859). The choice of these works is due, on the one hand, to the proximity of the themes; on the other, by the relevance that the commentators give to them when it comes to the duty of commenting on modernity in Marx.
