El trabajo y la vida. Una perspectiva histórica.

- Abstract
At the end of the 16th century and throughout the 18th century we are witness to the making of the autonomous idea of work. In the intellectual circles of political economy, work appears as an abstract reality totally unconnected with life. From that moment on, the relationship between work and life will be construed as a problem and various discourses will be developed, either to certify this unfulfillable chasm or to establish the new conditions in which these two human realities could be compatible. In this essay we analyze two approaches, one optimistic and the other pessimistic, both of them made in each of the two first historical cycles of reflection on the relationship between work and life.
