- Abstract
The article reports on legal developments relating to the regulation of unfair competition in the field of marketing in the U.S. The author includes information about the court case of the U.S. Federal Trade Commission v. National Commission on Egg Nutrition in connection with deceptive advertising practices. Legal issues regarding a misleading product demonstration initiated by the Bristol Myers Company and its marketing agency, Ogilvy & Mather, are discussed. News related to sales promotions is included. Legal development pertaining to trademarks are also mentioned.
