- Abstract
A synchronous pressure measurement wind tunnel test is carried out on CAARC (Commonwealth Advisory Aeronautical Re‐ search Council) standard rectangular high-rise buildings to obtain the wind pressure distribution on the building surface. And in order to get structural wind-induced acceleration response and its damping control effect,its three-dimensional finite element model is established to ana‐ lyze the conditions in detail with and without viscous dampers. The results show that the damping control rate of the peak acceleration of the top floor of the structure increases with the increase of the damping coefficient C,and decreases with the increase of the damping index α;the wind vibration control effect is better when the viscous damper is arranged close to the upper floor of the structure;as the number of dampers increases,the control rate of vibration reduction of the structure gradually increases,and the control rate of vibration reduction in the downwind direction is greater than that in the cross-wind direction. The damping control rate is better when dampers are arranged ev‐ ery other layer than when they are arranged layer by layer.
